Who takes TCF Tout Public?
Anyone who needs a general certificate of French level — for a university application, a job requirement, or personal proof of proficiency. Unlike TCF Canada or Québec, it isn't tied to a specific immigration program, and you choose which optional sections to sit.

Which TCF version should I take?+
It depends on why you're testing: federal Canadian immigration uses TCF Canada, Québec-specific immigration uses TCF Québec, French residency or nationality procedures use TCF ANF, and everything else (university, work, personal certification) uses TCF Tout Public.
Do I have to take the speaking and writing sections?+
No — for TCF Tout Public, writing and speaking are optional add-ons. Reading and listening are compulsory; take only the optional sections your school or employer actually requires.
Do I need my own AI API key?+
No. Grading across every exam version is included in the plan — nothing to configure.
How is this different from the free TCF Practice tool?+
TCF Practice focuses on written expression and stays free with an optional bring-your-own-key model. MyTCFApp adds reading, listening, and speaking, includes AI grading with no key required, and covers every TCF version in one place.
